Lil' Filmmakers Let's Make A Movie Workshop

This intensive three-day experience introduces participants to the fundamentals of Narrative Filmmaking and Photojournalism while working alongside professional filmmakers. Students will collaborate, create, and complete a short proof-of-concept project that can become the foundation for future creative work or a portfolio piece.

In this hands-on, production-based workshop, participants will build foundational skills in storytelling for narrative film. The course covers concepts such as story development and concept creation, introduction to equipment and production roles, filming with an emphasis on directing, and review of dailies prepared by professional editors. The workshop also includes introduction to single camera operation. Participants focus on directing, storytelling and creative decision-making while a team of professional editors support post-production and technical execution. 

Workshops run for 3 days (4 hours per day) and culminate in completed media projects.
